Meet Zipporah Wambui, The Woman Who Facilitated Acquisition of Vehicles Used in Dusit Attack

The High Court has ordered for the detention of Zipporah Wambui Karanja for 15 days.

Zipporah is accused of procuring insurance for two vehicles used by Dusit attackers.

Yesterday, six suspects accused of finanacing the Dusit attack that left 21 people dead werea arraigned in Court. They are, Hassan Abdi Nur, Ismael Sadiq Abitham, Ali Khamisi Ali, Abdinoor Maalim Ismail, Abdullahi Mohamed Hassan and Sophia Njoki Mbogo.

Hassan Abdi Nur allegedly operated 52 M-Pesa shops; 47 of which were said to have been registered between October and December 2018.

The M-Pesa businesses reportedly received huge amounts of money from various places including South Africa and sent some to Somalia.

Ismael Sadiq Abitham, on the other hand, was a social media representative at Horizon TV station, and was said to be in constant communication with attack ring leader Ali Salim Gichunge and his wife Violet Kemunto.
