“Judiciary is being blamed for laxity yet you are the ones delaying matters for lack of seriousness and coordination,” stated Anti-Corruption Court Magistrate Douglas Ogoti.

The meltdown came after the prosecution requested that the case is adjourned since they had not served the defence with the evidential documents.

They further blamed investigators for not effectively providing the documents in question to respective persons.

The investigators, however, provided reasons for failure to forward the documents arguing that one of them had been held up before proceeding on leave whereas the other had only communicated through WhatsApp message.

“I was away for training and later proceeded on leave,” stated one investigator.
