DPP take a new tack on the war against corruption

The office of the DPP has reassured Kenyans on their unrelenting war against corruption.

Noordin Haji has  today stated that his commitment and dedication in this war is unshaken.

He also added that through the unshakable bonds that they have built with the Kenyan People who want to see corruption eliminated will see them continue to work to increase their record of vigorously prosecuting the corrupt as well as dismantling their networks.

Kenyans in the past have complained of more arrest with less prosecution and the DPP have jumped in to address the matter.

Ever since President Kenyatta   declared  corruption as a national fight he insisted that the fight belongs to every single citizen of Kenya regardless of gender or tribe.

This triggered Kenyans to be more vigilant and the institutions that handle corruption cases were brought on the front-line to ensure that Integrity is maintained.

The head of state  said that his priority is to ensure that he leaves office with the legacy of bringing an end to corruption.

He also mentioned that anybody who desires a better Kenya is part of this fight and everyone should take up responsibility.

Speaking on the gaps in the judiciary which have been slowing down the war against graft, Kenyatta said that the judiciary must play its part to contribute in this war.

“I am calling upon the Judiciary to play its part, and do it expeditiously. For Kenyans to know the verdict on the cases before them, and to know why and how the verdict was arrived at” he said

The head of state said that the ability to show victory in the war against corruption is purely in convictions and the DPP will work closely with the judiciary to make this happen.
