Events 2019: Why you should participate in the Beyond Zero Marathon

The 2019 Beyond Zero Half Marathon celebrates all those who have partnered with Beyond Zero throughout the years.

Towards the end of last year, the First Lady kicked off the momentum towards the forthcoming marathon by registering as its first participant and receiving a new certificate changing the name of the event.

The spouses of Deputy President William Ruto and former PM Raila Odinga Mrs Rachel Ruto and Ida Odinga respectively also signed up to participate in the event.

The Beyond Zero Initiative has used the Half Marathon as the anchor fundraising platform, raising funds and resources to bring to focus key challenges facing Kenyans and build strategic partnerships that will address these challenges.

The marathon is scheduled for the 10th of March 2019 at Nyayo stadium. Kenyans have been called upon to participate in the marathon to contribute towards the achievement of it’s agenda.

The inaugural marathon was held in March 2014 followed by two other successful events in 2015 and 2016 before taking a two year break.

The Beyond Zero marathon presents opportunities to create long term partnerships with corporations in Kenya that focus in bringing healthcare closer to all Kenyans.

It is also a fun activity intentional for creating awareness and serves as a platform to interact with others.

The previous marathons have been successful and throughout the year we have seen implementation and launching off various projects under the Beyond Zero campaign.

By participating in the marathon, this means supporting a program that aims at in  being solution provides  to  health sector and particular in the areas of HIV, Maternal, Newborn and Child health.

This will go a long way into the addressing the challenges in the health sector which will equal to transformation in the society at large.
