Today marks six days since the bloody terror attack at the 14 Riverside Drive in Westlands. Six terrorists, aka cowards forced their way into the building and started shooting innocent and unarmed civilians who were having lunch. They ended up killing at least 21 people in the process.
My attention has however been drawn to a CCTV footage, of a sucide bomber who blew himself at Dusit. The video emerged from the scene showing the terrorist walking outside a manicured lawn before he stands outside Secret Gardens, He stands on the same spot for close to a minute before blowing himself up just after 3pm.
Now we know that terrorists aim to kill as many people as possible but this one doesn’t make an effort to enter the building. In fact, some people believe that he might have killed himself alone. Was this one just lazy?
During radicalism, these terrorists are promised 72 virgins in heaven. But does that apply to people who really do nothing like our friend who seems to have died alone? Should he get 72 virgins ama apewe Malaya wa Koinange?
Police identified the bomber as 25-year-old Al Shabaab operative, Mahir Khalid Rizik.
Mahir, who was born and brought up in Mombasa, is believed to have sneaked back into the country on January 13th from Somalia, where he had been undergoing training since 2018.
Seems our friend Mahir did not get proper training, or he was so lazy that the training couldn’t help. Or Al Shabab is just overrated.
All in all, his laziness saved many people on Tuesday.
