First it was the political tension at the beginning of the year which culminated in Moses Kuria almost resigning. Last week’s terror attack at 14 Riverside has calmed the situation a bit. It shocked the nation beyond measure.
But as Kenyans are mourning the untimely demise of 21 innocent souls, a middle aged Kikuyu woman was plotting to kill her husband. Yaani haoni tumechoka kulia.
Lucy Wanjiru from Gatudu North is in police custody after she repeatedly stabbed her boyfriend Vincent Mwangi Karanja.
The woman who was older than the guy, is said to have used a kitchen knife to puncture the man’s chest severally after a domestic dispute..
Gatundu North OCS David Luchacha said the man died from profuse bleeding following the brutal attack by the woman whom he had been living with for a while. The OCS noted that the woman had fled after the incident but she was nabbed by police officers who were informed of her hideout by members of the public.
This is not the first time that a woman from Central Kenya has been accused of killing her lover. In August last year, Judge Jessi Lessit sentenced Ruth Kamande to Death after she was found guilty of killing her boyfriend. She stabbed him 22 times. We hope this Gatundu woman suffers the same fate.
