Amani National Congress Party leader Musalia Mudavadi has called on Kenyans to remain alert as Terrorism is ever getting closer to their doorstep. Speaking at the Redeemed Church in Outering Nairobi, Mudavadi condoled with families that lost their loved ones during the terror attack on DUSIT Hotel.
He praised the work done by the Kenyan security forces in saving over 700 lives.
Mudavadi, in a moving narration told the congregation how his own son hid behind a fireplace for 2 hours before he was rescued. Mudavadi said to many people the word terrorism sounds far-fetched and distant, until it hits closer home.
He said terrorism has taken different forms and faces. That some of the culprits who undertook the DUSIT attack were Kenyans who live with us in our neighborhoods and study in our schools and colleges. He told the congregation to remain alert always knowing that terrorism is just at their doorstep.
Mudavadi had special words for Kenyan security forces and absolved them from blames from insensitivity social media users who had blamed the forces for taking too long to neutralize the terrorists.
Mudavadi said, the forces had to deal with a,life and death situation and had to use specialized tactics to reduce deaths and save lives.
