Uber, an international taxi hailing firm with services across all corners of the world has offered free rides to Kenyans willing to donate blood for victims of the 14 Riverside Drive terror attack.

The company, through its official social media accounts announced it will drop and pick Kenyans to and fro Avenue Hospital, M.P. Shah Hospital , Aga Khan Hospital and Kenyatta National Hospital where several victims from the incident have been admitted.

Kenyans had been urged by government officials to check into the aforementioned hospitals to donate blood to help save lives of the terror attack victims. Uber’s ”philanthropic” move came just hours after men believed to be terrorists attacked DusitD2 hotel along the 14 Riverside Drive.It was reported earlier that at least three cars were reduced to ashes while scores injured following the Tuesday, January 15, attack that has since been claimed by terror group al-Shabaab.

Kenyans, including journalists were still in the dark, not knowing what was really happening at the scene until a man, identified as Ron Ngeno revealed it could be a possible terror attack. Taking to Twitter just minutes after terrorists struck, Ron Ngeno claimed he was among Kenyan victims trapped at the 14 Riverside Drive, even as the attack intensified.
