Manchester United midfielder Fred did not travel with the rest of the squad because his partner is due to give birth.
The 25-year-old was not spotted as his teammates boarded the flight to the UAE on Saturday evening following the 2-0 win over Reading in the FA Cup. It is reported that the Brazilian was given permission not to go on the warm weather training camp to stay at home with his wife Monique Salum as she is due to give birth to their first child.
“Fred[‘s partner] is expecting a baby and Paul [Pogba] has had his knock and has had a few days of treatment back home. Hopefully, we can get Paul on his feet during this week,” said United boss.
Defender Marcos Rojo also missed the flight and Solskjaer revealed the reasons. “Marcos [Rojo] has gone back home because his injury is taking a bit longer than we thought.”
