Man kidnapped on his way to the bank

Schools have reopened and conmen are on a look out to steal from unsuspecting students and parents.

Police have launched a manhunt after a middle-aged man from Awendo, Migori County was on Tuesday morning kidnapped at Kideu Corner while he was on his way to pay his child’s school fees.

Gordon Muga was bundled into a black tinted car by three men, who sped off.

Muga’s child was supposed to join Form One on January 8.

Kamgundho Location Chief, Samwel Onjiko, says Muga, who is yet to be traced, made a call to his wife explaining his ordeal.

Onjiko says they have been trying to reach the victim through his mobile phone to no avail, given his phone has been switched off.

Muga had over Ksh.35, 000 when he was abducted, the administrator revealed.

Police have launched a manhunt for the kidnappers.
