As Raila Odinga turns 74 years, most people especially politicians have been competing against each other on the internet to capture Baba’s attention.
Mombasa governor Ali Hassan Joho, who also doubles up as the ODM Party leader, surprised Baba with a beautiful birthday cake in his Mombasa office. The lavish ceremony was attended by ODM leaders from the coastal region.
“I am grateful for the privilege of having studied under your political tutelage. You have taught us courage and resilience in the face of difficult circumstances.” Reads part of the message that Joho posted on Social media accompanied with pictures of the leaders sharing a cake with Baba.

The AU envoy is at the coast and is expected to launch several projects together with President Uhuru Kenyatta. There have been rumors that the two could be planning a major cabinet reshuffle.
Raila has also held talks with local leaders over the course of action for rebel leaders Aisha Jumwa and Suleiman Dori who have been dilly dallying with DP William Ruto.
