Chelsea ace wanted in Wales

Victor Moses’ future with Chelsea still remains unclear despite making the matchday squads for their Emirates FA Cup third round tie against Nottingham Forest on Saturday, January 5.

Fulham, Crystal Palace, Wolves and West Ham were earlier reported as the clubs that were interested in signing the player during the January transfer window and now it looks like another Premier League club is joining the race to have his signature.

According to Wales Online, Cardiff City have expressed a great interest in taking on Moses as an alternative to Liverpool’s Nathaniel Clyne on a temporary loan deal until the end of the 2018/19 season.

Clyne was heavily chased after by the Bluebirds before joining Bournemouth on loan on January 3.

Victor Moses worked under manager Neil Warnock for three years at Palace and it was Warnock who gave the former Nigerian international his professional debut against Cardiff City back in November 2007.

Upon Italian manager Maurizio Sarri’s appointment at Chelsea, Moses hasn’t been afforded much game time having only featured in two Premier League games and tallying a total of 26 minutes.

The 28-year-old has scored a total of 20 career goals together with 18 assists in 220 Premier League matches.
