Fulham to let Manchester United ace go

Fulham boss Claudio Ranieri says Timothy Fosu-Mensah will be allowed to go back to Manchester United should the club need him.

Ranieri is ready to end Fosu-Mensah’s loan spell after failing to establish himself in the team. The former Leicester boss held a press conference on Friday and he believes the defender’s opportunities at the club will be limited.

“If Manchester United want him he can go because with me he hasn’t played often and I understand he is young and he needs to play,” said Ranieri.

“At this moment for me it is very important to achieve our goal now which is to save Fulham [from relegation],” he added.

Since the start of the current season, he has made just seven appearances for the club as he is considered surplus to requirements at the club.
