Harambe stars winger set to join English Championship side

26-year-old Harambee Stars winger, Ayub Timbe, is reportedly set to join English Championship side Reading Football Club.

Expressing eagerness in completing the deal,Timbe revealed that Reading FC was keen on signing him during this (January) transfer window he stated that it was always his dream to play in England.

The winger, however, disclosed that the big money buy-out clause in his contract may pause as a stumbling block for the deal to pull through this January. Nonetheless, he remained adamant that the transfer would happen.

“Yes it is true that Reading wants to sign me in this (January) transfer window but there have been hitches concerning my current contract. This might force the deal to the next window,” he stated.

Having played for four different clubs in the Belgian top flight, the winger asserted that he was ready for a return in Europe.

“As you know, I am still young and I have big potential for success in Europe. I am open to any good offers that may come my way,” he divulged.

Renhe finished eighth on the 16-team Chinese Super League log with 38 points in November.

The speedy winger has fully recovered from a knee injury and was optimistic of a better season this year in order to get a place in Sebastian Migne’s team for the final 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Ghana in March as well as the Harambee Stars final squad for the continental extravaganza.
