Manchester United legend still has a problem with Pogba

Manchester United legend Gary Neville has revealed that he has only one problem with midfielder Paul Pogba.

The former Red Devils captain has made it clear that he is unhappy with how Pogba conducted himself following Jose Mourinho’s dismissal from Old Trafford.

The France international has immediately taken time on social media expressing his views after the club sacked the Portuguese boss.

The 25-year-old took to Instagram and posted a picture of himself along with words: “Caption this!”, but the post was deleted just 10 minutes later.

The World Cup winner has eventually explained that the post was scheduled before being aware of the club’s announcement.

However, former United full-back and current Sky Sports pundit Neville insists he is not convinced by the midfielder’s reasoning.

“Everyone always concentrates on Paul Pogba,” Neville said.

“I only have one problem with Paul Pogba and that was his post, which I think disrespected Jose Mourinho in losing his job.”

“We know it didn’t come from the club, we know it didn’t come from Adidas, we know it came from Paul Pogba, so my view personally is that was a massive disappointment to disrespect somebody that’s lost their job.”

Pogba had a bad relationship with former Chelsea boss Mourinho, but the change in the Frenchman’s form has been noticed by Neville.

“I’ve always said that Manchester United are a far better team with him in it,” Neville said.

“There is a line that needs to be drawn, perhaps you forget everything that’s happened in the past.”

“However, all is forgiven because you move on in football but the fact of the matter is that he’s now performing how he should be, and that is a massive plus for United because he is a big player.”

United have managed four consecutive wins under new manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer which helped them to move to three points closer to fifth-placed Arsenal.
