Jubilee Rebellion widens as Moses Kuria joins the band wagon

The Rift in Jubilee Party has is escalating each and every day. The latest rift is being created by Moses Kuria through his public lecture to President Uhuru Kenyatta on the low development status among the people from his area:

“As we enter 2019, you (voters) must think … our responsibility is not just to vote and after voting, we (the government that we form) take development to other regions. That kind of nonsense must stop,” he said at Thika Stadium on New Year.

Mr Kuria added: “We want the President to also commission water projects, roads and electricity when he comes here. We were with him in Kisumu where he commissioned a road project, but when he visits (Kiambu) he only issues certificates to recovering alcoholics.”

This sentiments have created a ripple effect in the camp of Moses Kuria and the entire Jubilee party.

Some top politicians from the region have come out boldly to criticize the move saying that Moses Kuria is directing his anger at the wrong person.

But what has conspicuously brought out the rift simmering in Jubilee party is the move by Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu to send his brother on a compulsory leave. Most political analysts have termed the move by Waititu as a hitting back strategy to Moses Kuria for attacking the president.
