Chelsea are prepared to make a £36million bid for PSV Eindhoven and Mexico star Hirving Lozano, according to reports. Italian newspaper Calciomercato claims the versatile 23-year-old forward could be heading to Stamford Bridge this month after some barnstorming performances in the Netherlands. Lozano has scored 11 Eredivisie goals to guide his side to the top of the table. And it’s claimed that the Mexico international is being targeted by Maurizio Sarri in a bid to boost Chelsea’s attack.
However, Serie A giants AC Milan and Napoli are also said to be keen on securing Lozano’s signature. But Chelsea are in a much healthier financial position and are believed to be favourites in a three-horse race. Should a bid be accepted by PSV, Lozano would apparently join Chelsea this month.It means the Blues would indeed land at least one winter reinforcement despite spending over £57m on Christian Pulisic.
