Award winning secular artiste Nyashinski ends the year with yet another award . Nyashinski’s song dubbed Mungu Pekee won the best gospel song in 2018, at least according to the most popular streaming site in the country Boombuzz.
Despite the country boasting quite a number of gospel artists such as Gloria Muliro Mercy Masika, Bahati, Size 8 and Joyce Omondi, it was Nyashinski’s song which attracted so much attention from Kenyans.
Not only did Nyashinski top the streaming charts with his gospel hit, but he also proved he was not a one-hit wonder as he is also the artist who was trending heavily for most part of the year.
Add that to the fact that none of his songs, whether visual or audio only, has accrued less than 300,000 views on Youtube.
As far as albums are concerned, rapper Khaligraph Jones has also outdone himself as his new release Testimony 1990 has performed best in 2018 despite being released in the second half of the year.
It proved to be quite the year for Nyashinski, Nyashinski’s Malaika trended the most in 2018, with his song Mungu Pekee coming in second, while Gloria Muliro’s Narushia came in third.
