Renewed hope for Kenya as government aims at reducing cost of living

There is a new hope for Kenya as the government has revealed its efforts to ensure that the cost of living is lowered for the benefit of Kenyans.

It has been a rocky year for Kenyans who have been constantly complaining about the harsh conditions and hardships following the new tax measures that were put in place.

Poverty continues to bite hard in some part of the countries and  even as the state of corruption is clearly on the rise,  this has served as one of the factors that is holding the countries progress down.

Even so,the  government has since assured Kenyans that they are aiming at  reducing the cost of production to make things affordable.

Their intention is to ensure that Kenyans have good health, to support manufacturing & industries, to promote food security & to ensure Kenyans live in decent, affordable houses.

Speaking on the affordable housing project, President Kenyatta yesterday said that majority of Kenyans don’t have an opportunity to own a home and what the government is trying to do is to ensure all Kenyans can own a home.

“We are living in a scenario where as a country, since independence, we have less than 500,000 people who have mortgages. This is why we have this programme to encourage a saving culture” he added

Kenyatta also noted that if we want Kenyans to be home owners we must develop products to enable them to own their own. “That is why have the affordable housing programme” he said

Kenya eyes on a plan that will see the lives of its citizens bettered and to see less of the gap in lines of class.

The concerns of many Kenyans were yesterday addressed by the President and although some claim that it was not really satisfying.. we can console ourselves with that a little light was shed.

Do yo think the government will honor its promise to better the lives of Kenyans?
