Raila Odinga finally reveals his political mentor

ODM leader Raila Odinga has been playing actively in Kenyan politics, with his stunt that has always setting the Country in campaign mode whenever he decides to do so.

His role in politics has on the other hand helped to put Kenya where it is, following his March 9, 2028 handshake with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

In his ageing period, Raila is still in active politics, with many now speculating about his 2022 presidential bid, which will come when he will be 77 years of age.

Do you think his political gameplan must have been inspired from someone? Well, Raila has come out to reveal his political mentor.

Speaking to Citizen TV’s Joe Ageyo in an exclusive interview, Raila reveled that Tanzania’s Julius Nyerere was his mentor.

He lauded him for being fairly smart and a person who analysed the society very well. Odinga also cited that Mwalimu Nyerere had a great vision.

“Mwalimu Julius Nyerere was my mentor politically- He was fairly smart and analysed the society very well. He had a great vision,” Raila said in a statement on Citizen TV.

Julius Kambarage Nyerere, who lived between 13 April 1922 and 14 October 1999 was a Tanzanian anti-colonial activist, politician, and political theorist. He governed Tanganyika, the now Tanzania as Prime Minister from 1961 to 1963 and then as President from 1963 to 1964, after which he led its successor state, Tanzania as President from 1964 to 1985.
