The most that Kenyan artists get from Kenyans is online trolls and in very rare instances is when they get the full support.
It is not a secret and sadly even artists from other countries always end up getting the hint that local artists are underrated so to say.
Instead of being solution providers, many things come into play; like blaming one party and wanting them to cover up for the fact that our local artists do not get the support they need.
Kenyan Rapper Khaligraph Jones believes that there are many mistakes that they do as artist but throwing stones at them is not what will make them grow the industry.
There are gaps in the industry and it is important to have a workable solution that will create an environment to bring change and create impact in the Industry.
Speaking during an interview on one of the local radio stations, Khaligraph Jones called upon Kenyans to team up in the efforts to support local artists and talents.
He also highlighted on the improvement that he has noted from the recent concert. He stated that we are not where we want to be as Kenyans but there is hope; judging from the reception he got from the Wasafi Festival Festival.
Khaligraph Jones also emphasized that it is important for Kenyans to team up especially the media which he say is the foundation of the industry.
“The media should team up with artists and Deejays so that they can stop blaming each other” “If we team up I think that it is the only way we can grow the Industry.”he said
