Kaa Sober!!Drunkard man dies after falling

It is festive season and people are partying hard however the festive drinking spree turned tragic after a 43-year-old man fell into a dustbin and died.

Confirming the incidents, Eldoret East OCPD Richard Omanga  said that his lifeless body was discovered inside the dustbin on Friday morning by residents of Naiberi Centre, Uasin Gishu County.

Preliminary reports by the police indicated that the man is likely to have drunk more than he could manage and ended up falling into the dustbin situated at the Naiberi Centre.

“At the scene, the man fell with his head first inside the bin, a clear indication that he might have choked due to the position he fell,” the OCPD was quoted.

“He also vomited some alcohol content and there were no injuries and that is why we are not suspecting any foul play.”The body is currently at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) mortuary,” the police boss explained.

Accounts by witnesses indicate the man who worked at a farm in plateau area was last seen on Thursday evening.

The deceased was reportedly in the company of his fellow drivers enjoying a drink at the centre in Ainabkoi Constituency.

Omanga cautioned Kenyans against heavy drinking during the festive season urging them to indulge moderately.

“It is imperative that Kenyans should take care during the festive season. They should not overdo (alcohol) just because they are in a celebratory mood. They should remember that life is precious,” the OCPD cautioned.
