Migori Governor Okoth Obado’s wife has pledged to gift the top student in the recently released KCSE results with full shopping as she will be joining University. Helen Obado made the remarks on Thursday, December 27, when she hosted top girl Juliet Irine Otieno for breakfast at her Migori home.
In separate story, it was reported that Otieno topped the country from Pangani Girls with 87.64 points. Her childhood friend Mel Christine ranked sixth from Alliance Girls with just a 0.37 points difference.
“I was this morning pleased to host the family of Juliet Irine Otieno, the girl who topped the country in 2018 KCSE for breakfast. She was studying at Pangani Girls High School, Nairobi and will be joining the few Kenyans who have specialized in Aeronautical Engineering.
Allow me also to extend my congratulatory messages to number six countrywide, Mel Christine, who was studying at Alliance Girls High School and is also from Rongo sub county. As a way of appreciation and motivation as a mother of Migori County, I’ll be taking care of Juliet’s full shopping as she join the university,” the Migori First Lady wrote on Facebook.
Having scored As in all subjects, Otieno’s dream is to get a scholarship so she may pursue her dream career in Aeronautical Engineering. In a previous interview, the intelligent student indicated that she envisioned enrolling at a university out side the country, preferably Stanford University in the UK.
