Gor Mahia CEO Lordvick Aduda has rubbished reports that two of the club’s players, Humphrey Mieno and Jacques Tuyisenge are set to leave ahead of 2019.

Midfielder Mieno has been linked with a move to St. George’s FC in Ethiopia while Tuyisenge has been reported to be on his way to AS Vita Club in Congo DR but Aduda says none of the clubs have placed official bids for the players.

The two are still contracted to Gor Mahia, and were key players in the team’s continental charge last year. With the team still harbouring continental ambitions, it would prefer holding on its senior players ahead of the 2019 activities.

“In my position as CEO, I am unaware of the said interest. There is no official communication so I can’t comment on the same. The two players are under contract at Gor Mahia and I believe the clubs they are linked with, are professional enough to know they need to approach us in case they want our players.

“As far as we are concerned, those are rumors and until we get official bids, in writing, I’d say that is just empty talk out there,” said Aduda.

The duo’s contracts, however, are set to end at the close of December.
