” Let you not be deceived by the Tangatanga movement because both Ruto and Uhuru have served their full terms and should retire together,” These sentiments by Jubilee Vice Chairman David Murathe have caused a political storm in the Country just when people are in a great festive mood.
The question many are asking is this: Who is Murathe Speaking for? Did he mean everything he said?
Well, whichever the case, Murathe has even cast more doubts on the alleged agreement between DP William Ruto and President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Will Kenyatta endorse Ruto come 2022?
Ruto has for sometime now been against the referendum while President Kenyatta seem to be already having a change of tone with all indicators showing that he is ready for one.
According to Murathe, Ruto should not ‘pretend’ to be speaking on behalf of Jubilee on matters of the referendum. Murtahe say’s there was a need to change the Constitution so that it can be more accommodating.
“We don’t want a Constitution where the winner takes it all; it’s always a recipe for post-election violence,” he said.
Murtahe’s comments have already caused an online storm with DP Ruto’s supporters castigating him for breading hate and lies while others of a different opinion have said that the comments are just a tip of the iceberg and that Ruto should expect more heading into 2022.
