Arsenal coach apologizes after hitting a fan with a bottle

Arsenal manager Unai Emery has apologized to a Brighton and Hove Albion fan after kicking a water bottle against him in the 1-1 draw on Boxing Day.

Emery was left frustrated in the dying minutes of the draw and kicked a water bottle on the touchline that found a Brighton fan.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang handed Arsenal the lead in the seventh minute while Jurgen Locadia restored parity for Chris Hutton’s side 10 minutes before the break. Brighton dominated the second half and picked up a point in the game.

The Spanish manager apologized to the Brighton fan in a post-match press conference after the game, “Yes, I said to them apologies because I kick the bottle after a disappointing action for us in the last minutes. It wasn’t hard, but it touched one supporter for them. I said to them I’m sorry.”
