Manchester United have reportedly submitted a €60m (£54m) offer for Juventus star Douglas Costa.
According to Rai Sport, United have tabled a bid with the Italian giants as they look to prise the Brazilian away from Serie A.
However, initial reports claim Juve have knocked back the opening offer with his current contract running until June 2022.
The 28-year-old winger would provide Solskjaer, or the new manager in the summer, with further choice on the flanks with Alexis Sanchez failing to live up to expectations.
