Arsenal set to raid Real Madrid for star

Arsenal boss Unai Emery is reportedly keen to complete a deal for Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas in January.

Having initially had to wait for his spot in between the sticks, Bernd Leno has firmly established himself as the club’s No 1.

Navas has been reduced to just two La Liga appearances this term for Los Blancos having falling down the pecking order since Thibaut Courtois’ arrival.

But according to reports in Spain, Emery remains unconvinced by the German and is keen on bringing in Navas when the transfer window reopens next month.

At 32 years of age the Costa Rica international is keen to play regular football and may now be offered a way out by Arsenal.

According to Spanish publication El Confidencial, Emery is ‘in a hurry’ to rush through a deal for Navas who Madrid value at around €14m (£12.6m)
