Liverpool has been handed a major injury boost ahead of Boxing Day fixture against Newcastle with the return of Naby Keita and Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Nathaniel Clyne and James Milner filled Alexander-Arnold’s position after the defender was injured during Liverpool win over Napoli in the Champions League.
While Keita was taken off on Friday as his side beat Wolverhampton Wanderers after suffering both a foot and rib injury. However, Keita isn’t a sure selection for Liverpool’s starting XI due to the amount of competition for places.
The Reds will face off against Arsenal and Manchester City in subsequent games. Klopp could keep Keita out of the starting XI to preserve him for the coming matchdays. Keita has been in good form in recent weeks.
