Chief Justice David Maraga is indeed a happy and grateful man after surviving a road accident alongside his wife yesterday. Road accidents in Kenya have become like a norm with each road tragedy always claiming lives of innocent Kenyans.
CJ Maraga is therefore one lucky man to have survived one. The CJ felt loved and cared for by Kenyans including political leaders led by President Kenyatta, DP Ruto and Raila Odinga.
He has now sent a message of appreciation to everyone who did one thing or the other to ensure that he was okay. Maraga has thanked President for ordering his evacuation to Nairobi for comprehensive medical attention.
He has also thanked Raila Odinga for visiting him and praying with him.
The CJ and his wife were yesterday involved in a road accident but were lucky to survive having only sustained minor head injuries.

Maraga was rushed to War Memorial Hospital Nakuru after the accident.
Yesterday, the CJ issued a statement to the general public with the CJ confirming that him alongside his wife, their driver and aide were all okay.
Maraga thanked Kenyans for their prayers and concern.
“My wife and I were involved in an accident in Nakuru this morning on our way to Church. We are undergoing medical observation. My driver and aide who were with us are also okay. We thank God for His mercies. Thank you Kenyans for your prayers and concern,” said the CJ.
