What Chelsea boss thinks of target Higuain

After transfer rumors linking on-loan AC Milan striker Gonzalo Higuain with a move to Chelsea, Maurizio Sarri admitted that the talisman is a ‘wonderful’ player but distanced himself from the transfer talk.

Sarri and Higuain have previously worked together at Napoli before the Argentine made the switch to Juventus in 2016. With the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo at the start of the season, Higuain was shipped out on loan to AC Milan.

Sarri is reportedly unhappy with the misfiring duo of Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud after playing Eden Hazard in the striking role recently.

The Italian manager noted that Higuain is a ‘wonderful’ player but stayed away from the transfer talk, “As you know, I like him very much. He is a wonderful player, a wonderful man. But I don’t want to talk about Higuain. I have two strikers, two and a half at the moment, and Gonzalo is playing for AC Milan. It’s better not to talk about him at the moment.”
