State of Maraga and wife after the unfortunate accident

The country has been in shock and anxiety ever since the report that Justice Maraga and wife were involved in an accident.Well now they can breath as his state has been revealed to be not so serious.

Regional coordinator Mongo has revealed that the CJ sustained head injuries while his wife was in shock but stable and doctors are monitoring her condition.

The CJ has a bandage on his forehead and has blood on his trousers while his wife who looks is supported by two nurses and is wearing a neck brace and looks to be in pain.

It is reported that the accident, at Ngata farm happened as the CJ and his wife were going to church in Nakuru

President Uhuru Kenyatta has issued a directive to the military to airlift Chief Justice David Maraga and his wife Yucabeth Nyaboke to Nairobi following a road accident.

According to the Rift Valley Regional Coordinator Mongo Chimwaga, President Kenyatta ordered the evacuation to Nairobi hospital for comprehensive medical attention.

Chief Justice David Maraga has however said he and his wife Yucabeth Nyaboke are doing fine.

“We had a minor accident this morning as we were going to church here on Ngata road but we have been attended, we are fine. We are fine, there is no cause for alarm at all, we are just going to Nairobi because everybody wants to be sure that we are fine. So, there is no cause for alarm, it’s just this is a minor laceration which the doctors have managed here very well so we are going to Nairobi,” he told journalists who were camped outside the War Memorial hospital.

His official Twitter account also had a similar message; “My wife and I were involved in an accident in Nakuru this morning on our way to Church. We are undergoing medical observation. My driver and aide who were with us are also okay. We thank God for His mercies. Thank you Kenyans for your prayers and concern.”
