Tanzanian singer Omary Nyembo better Known by his stage name Ommy Dimpoz has been discharged from a German hospital.
The Baadaye singer was discharged from the University Hospital of Dusseldorf on Saturday after being rushed there following complications following an earlier throat surgery.
Speaking to the press, the singer’s father thanked fans for their prayers while revealing that the singer is now in Mombasa courtesy of Governor Hassan Joho.
Faraji Nyembo further revealed that the singer underwent another throat surgery while in surgery.
“Mwanangu sasa anaendelea vizuri kwani upasuaji aliofanyiwa umempa nafuu na hivi ninavyoongea na wewe ameruhusiwa kutoka hospitali nchini Ujerumani na yupo Kenya anakofanyia kliniki yake akisimamiwa na meya wa Mombasa ambaye ndiye anayempatia msaada wa matibabu,” he said.
Following a throat surgery in South Africa early this year, Dimpoz has been in and out of hospital due to complications.
The bongo star was poisoned and was flown abroad for treatment, where he spent several days in the ICU.
Ommy Dimpoz could hardly eat or swallow anything and after undergoing extensive and invasive throat surgery, he was okay.
A few days ago, the singer was flown to Germany for treatment after his condition worsened despite several visits to hospital.
