They Say that Hard work pays. Deputy President William Ruto is finally set to enjoy the fruits of his hard work with the DP set to finally get his PHD from the University of Nairobi today.
Ruto will be graduating after defending his thesis on the ‘Influence of Anthropogenic Activities on Land Use in Western Kenya’.
He defended his thesis at the School of Biological Sciences at the University of Nairobi.
The DP will graduate alongside 9,000 other graduands at the UoN square beginning 7:30 am.
A section of Kenyans had raised queries with may asking when the DP attended classes and when he actually conducted his field work on the Influence of Anthropogenic Activities on Land Use/Cover Changes and Environmental Quality of Saiwa Wetland Watershed.
Well photos have now emerged of the DP conducting his field work with the said photos all but ending the doubts that many people have had for sometime now.
December 21 will forever be a day to remember for the DP. It will be a triple celebration for the deputy president who apart from Graduating will also be celebrating his birthday and his wedding anniversary.
Ruto was born on December 21, 1966 in Sambut village, Kamagut, Uasin Gishu to Daniel Cheruiyot and Sarah Cheruiyot.
On the same day in 1991, Ruto married Rachel.
Ruto will be turning 52.
Ruto who calls himself hustler will officially earn the title ‘doctor’ after pursuing the doctorate since 2012.
Philomena Mwilu, the Deputy Chief Justice, Devolution CS Eugene Wamalwa and Meru Senator Mithika Linturi will also be conferred with masters of law.
DP Ruto has already published his work in two renowned journals — the International Journal of Research in Environmental Science and The Asian Journal of Water, Environment and Pollution — as required by the Commission for University Education (CUE).
