Is Manchester suffering because of Sir Alex Ferguson?

Former Manchester United player Danny Higginbotham has claimed there is a bigger disconnect at the club since Sir Alex Ferguson left.

Higginbotham further adds that Ferguson surrounded himself with good people that pulled in the right direction and that made his management at the club easier.

“The club doesn’t seem to have an identity and there’s a huge disconnect at the club. When Sir Alex was there, he had good people around him that were pulling in the right direction. Everything that Manchester United have stood for, in terms of youth development has gone.

“That’s all been lost. What’s gone on off the pitch has been more important for the current hierarchy. That’s unacceptable. I’m not bothered what goes on on the pitch in the next few months – I want to see things sorted out off the pitch.” he told Sky Sports.

The former Southampton and Stoke City player was commenting on the changes on the managerial position the club made in the week with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer replacing Jose Mourinho. He played for man United from 1997-2000.

Do you agree that he left the side in a bad shape?
