Rituals!Minor’s manhood chopped off by unknown people

Police have launched investigations after a  15-year-old boy who is fighting for his life manhood was chopped off by unknown assailants.

Doctors at KNH were yesterday working to salvage the manhood, which had been stored in a freezer as the family waited in shock.

“I have been in business for the last 12 years. Neither my husband nor I have had issues with people,” said Joyce Kananu, mother to the boy.

On the fateful day, Kananu had left two children in their house in Syakago, Embu County, to take food to her husband Anthony Kamencu who was manning a shop they own.

Upon delivering the food a distress call came.

“I ran home immediately. What I saw was shocking. There was blood everywhere. Part of my son’s penis was on the table,” narrated Kamencu.

She said her son had also been slashed on the head and other parts of the body. However, it appeared that the assailants had stolen nothing.

A neighbour helped take the boy to Embu Level Five hospital, which referred him to KNH.

For the better part of yesterday KNH doctors fought to manage the minor’s bleeding before taking him to theatre to re-attach the organ.

“His privates were preserved in ice and he is now in the theatre being operated on. Of course the re-attachment will depend on the extent of the injury,” said Hezekiah Gikambi, KNH Assistant Corporate Affairs Manager.

He added: “We have had successful cases of re-attachment of body parts before.”
