Manchester United Star Paul Pogba Surprises Young Patient’s Grandad During Hospital Visit

Manchester United ace Paul Pogba had a heartfelt moment with a young fan and hospital patient as he surprised his grandad in a hilarious phone call.

Pogba, along with teammates Fred, Diogo Dalot and Andreas Pereira, visited Palatine Treatment Centre at The Christie, the cancer hospital in Withington, south Manchester, to spread some Christmas cheer.

And the World Cup winner met one of his biggest fans.

In a video posted on Twitter, he is seen meeting a teenager called Matty on one of the wards.

He is told he always gets good test results when he wears his United shirt bearing Pogba’s name and the France star says that makes him very emotional.

The pair share a heartfelt moment before Pogba then hilariously greets his grandad over the phone.

In the funny call he merely introduces himself as ‘Matty’s best friend’ and says they are friends ‘even though I am from France and I love the number six’.

However he still doesn’t cotton on and tells his grandson to ‘get away’ and to ‘stop p*****g about’ when he reveals who it is speaking to him.

In a post accompanying the video, Pogba said: “This video makes me so emotional. Seeing a young man get better results and feeling better just by wearing a pogba @ManUtd shirt… you thanks us for giving you 5min of our time but WE THANK YOU for giving us the strength to push ourselves to the limit.”
