Bournemouth to hold on Chelsea target

Following the 1-0 win over Bournemouth in the Carabao Cup quarterfinals, Chelsea have been handed a warning by The Cherries boss, Eddie Howe who insisted that Callum Wilson will not leave the club in January.

Wilson has been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea as Maurizio Sarri is reportedly unhappy with the misfiring duo of Olivier Giroud and Alvaro Morata. Chelsea assistant manager Gianfranco Zola noted that the club is interested in Wilson while David Luiz further added to the speculations by noting that the striker is “good enough for the best teams in the world.”

Eddie Howe noted that Wilson is fully committed to the club, “I haven’t seen the comments. First I’ve heard about it. Callum’s our player, very focused on us. You could see that tonight, gave everything for the team.” When pressed on whether the English striker could be on his way out in January, Howe replied, “Not from my perspective, no.”
