Liverpool boss not remorseful after Mourinho’s sack

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has little remorse for Jose Mourinho following his sacking as Manchester United manager, noting that manager’s “take the consequences” for failing to deliver results.

Liverpool was the final straw in Jose Mourinho’s turbulent final season at Manchester United as they handed the former Real Madrid manager a 3-1 humbling.

Mourinho and Klopp haven’t had the best of relations with the Portuguese at one time calling him out for spending a fortune and not delivering trophies at Liverpool.

Klopp was asked if he has sympathy for Mourinho following his sacking by Manchester United, “100% but I have to say on our level now, it’s not that I really feel for him or whatever. I know it’s difficult to get as a person, I didn’t get the sack so far, but if a manager got the sack in the Championship or in League One or League Two, that’s a bad moment because you don’t know if they will get another job and stuff like that.

“If Jose wants to have another job, he has it in two days. That’s really easy. We talk about a really high level. But from the personal point of view, and I know how ambitious he is, I’m pretty sure he doesn’t take it that easy.

“He wanted to be successful at United and he was, but then it didn’t work out in the way everybody else wanted it to. Then you have to take the consequences. That’s how it is in our job. I always said it. It’s the same for me and if the club thinks there is someone who can do it better, then they have to change.
