They do say that religious leaders are our shepherds, and thus should carry themselves like a shepherd? Does this mean that pastors have to look like shepherds?
Well, it is a norm in our churches that we give out tithes. However, some of these tithes we give are not being used correctly. Today, Kenyans have stirred the internet after thy walk up into news that one of the country’s pastors was plotting to buy a land worth ksh 2.8 billion.

Pastor Edward Mwai of Jesus Winner Ministry is the man behind the purchase of Uchumi Supermarket land in Kasarani for Sh2.8 billion. It is easy for a church to raise 2.8 billion or more. But how now? Only if the wealthy flock in the same church… Imagine if rich people come to your church and give offering and tithes… Millions of money every Sunday. This might be the case with Pastor Edward, whose church has hosted President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto for prayers not less than once.
However, Kenyans are now calling for a lifestyle audit of all religious leaders who are living lavishly.
We need to audit and tax religious organisations:

Some Kenyans have now equated the Pastor to DP William Ruto, citing tat there is no much difference between the two. DP Ruto and his allies recently criticised the calls for lifestyle audit, which they termed that it was targeted at Ruto.
I’m wondering why people are astonished by, a pastor buying Uchumi’s kasarani land @ 2.5b . Kwani tofauti ya Ruto na kanyari ni gani. Same business just different Fronts.Mimi naona ata hio ni kidogo. #KOTLoyalsFamily
