The Kenyan music industry is in mourning after the demise of an upcoming musician, Eliud Sagini.
Taking to social media, Rapper Khaligraph Jones confirmed that the singer passed away on Monday, December 17 after suffering a short illness.
“It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing away of one of Kenya’s greatest and promising talent Eliud Sagini better known to many as Sagini,” posted the rapper.
The rapper further revealed that the singer was pronounced dead shortly after arriving in hospital.
“My little man, Sagini, will always love you fam,” continued the rapper.
Sagini, who was signed to Khaligraph’s recording label, BluInk Corp, had appeared on Str8up show on KTN on Saturday while looking healthy.

Before his passing, the musician had released a number of hit songs and had also appeared on Khaligraph’s popular song, Testimony, among others.
He had also performed as a background vocalist on Khaligraph’s The Khali Cartel.
Several other Kenyans took to social media to express their disappointment over the demise of Sagini.

“Heartwrenching indeed. May he rest well,” posed another user.
