Man hospitalized after sniffing his socks everyday

Do you have the habit of smelling socks? Do you know that it can also be a huge addiction or disorder?

Well it can also have some health side effects if you make it a habit.

Not from proven statistics  but I have a feeling a  large percentage can admit to smelling their socks at least once in a week and for extra cases it could be a daily activity.

What makes people smell their socks?  Maybe to re-wear them or  they simply like bad smell.

Are you comfortable in the smell of your own fart? Well if your answer is yes then you are more likely to enjoy this socks sniffing act.

From the DailyMail reports, A man who had a bizarre habit of sniffing his smelly socks every day after work was diagnosed with severe fungal infection in his lungs in China.

The 37-year-old man, surnamed Peng, was admitted to hospital in Zhangzhou, south-east China’s Fujian province when he complained of a cough and chest pains.

While doctors examined him, Peng told them that he had been ‘addicted to smelling his socks that he had been wearing’, according to Chinese media reports.

The man was immediately hospitalized and treated. He is expected to make a full recovery, according to the report.

Following these reports, it triggered a lot of reactions from  netizens with some claiming they had a similar a habit while others shocked by the incident.

I am sure many are of the habit of wearing a pair of sock more than once and this story serves as a lesson to this bracket of people.

It equally creates awareness on the dangers that come along with habits that seem so harmless.
