Top transfer news concerning Manchester United, Man City

Jose Mourinho’s wishes to sign a centre-back has been granted by the club’s hierarchy. Tottenham Hotspur’s Toby Alderweireld and Napoli-Senegalese Kalidou Koulibaly, as usual, leads the candidates on Manchester United’s list.

But Napoli’s asking price of £90m could scare way the England side, therefore, thrusting the Belgian into a wider limelight as the only viable option for Mourinho. United have struggled and sits sixth after a fine display and win over Fulham but that cannot convince Mourinho that his side will continue performing without additions to his defensive department.

Nigerian-Chelsea winger Victor Moses is hugely considering leaving in January and the club is reportedly open to letting him leave too. Moses has been a fringe player since Maurizio Sarri took charge of Chelsea and the new tactical style deployed at the Stamford Bridge meant that the Nigerian would spend a large chunk of his time at Chelsea on the peripheries.

During Antonio Conte’s reign, Moses was utilized for the larger part of the two campaigns because Conte preferred a back three that allowed roaming the right flank.

Crystal Palace, his former side and Fulham have been reported to be trailing him. With Chelsea willing to do business, we could be seeing Moses leaving once the January window opens.

Phil Foden, Manchester City’s sensational is willing to sign a long-term contract to remain at the Etihad for another six years. Foden has been attracting positive analysis from Pep Guardiola and indeed has enjoyed somewhat enough playtime at Man City considering the depth, balance and quality at Pep’s disposal.
