The Deputy President has extended his stay in North Eastern region and the residents are happy. As usual all the places the Deputy President visits,people are left singing his name.
This time round he took the blessing hand to the people of Garissa. He held a public meeting with the leaders of the region and later with the people.
He was hosted by the majority leader Aden Duale, in efforts to create a good relationship between the people and the government.

The Deputy President who was fully dressed in kanzu like muslims on Monday launched a number of projects for the people.

He commissioned two boreholes in Bula Garissa county. This is making sure that the people have access to clean and reliable water supply. This comes as the region has been suffering from inadequacy of water.
This will guarantee the people of Garissa good health, improved levels of sanitation and reliable water supply.

The Deputy President has also emphasized the importance of Education to the people of the region. He has asked the leaders to focus on education as is the key to future of the region. He has condemned early marriages and cases of early pregnancies in the region. He has leaders to stand vigilant against such vices.

This is one of the government ventures to salvage the region which has been feeling the pain of political negligence. The region has been prone to numerous attacks by the Alshabaab military group that has made many people to flee many areas in that region.
This is one of the governments attempts in trying to establish its presence in the region.
This is also DP Ruto plans to gather more people on his back as he plans to be in the state house in 2022.
