Pep Guardiola appeared angry with a Chelsea coach following Manchester City’s defeat by the Blues at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

The Citizens boss was filmed by BT Sport cameras after his side’s 2-0 defeat approaching each and every member of the home team’s backroom staff to shake their hands. But it seems his exchanges with the staff weren’t entirely friendly, with the Spaniard appearing to get angry when speaking to the Blues’ fitness coach.

The brief exchange involved Guardiola holding his hand out for Paolo Bertelli to shake, which he eventually did.But the pair shared a few words in the build-up, and the Manchester City boss reacted by pulling his hand away from the coach so that he couldn’t shake it.

Guardiola was then seen walking away before greeting another Chelsea coach. It’s not clear what the duo discussed and why Guardiola reacted in the way he did.

The Manchester City boss is known for being a passionate individual. Following the Citizens’ win over Southampton last season the Spaniard approached Nathan Redmond and appeared to confront him on the pitch.

The animated exchange looked aggressive, but Guardiola would later claim that he was in fact complementing the Englishman.

When asked if he regretted the incident, he said at the time: “Yes. I did it in Munich, with my old player [Joshua] Kimmich, I did the same in Dortmund and had regret there after the game and the same now. I cannot control myself. Hopefully I will improve.”
