Some Kenyans have been calling for Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana to run for presidency in 2022. They believe that the governor’s development record can benefit all Kenyans.
And it seems there is something that Kibwana is doing right. On Thurrsday, Kenyans were impressed with his latest project; the 120 capacity Makueni Mother and child hospital.
The ultra modern facility which was commissioned by First Lady Margaret Kenyatta marks a new era in the provision of quality health care services and is expected to be a regional specialist referral facility for maternal and child health services.
“The centre will provide amenities like aqua-birthing facility and Kangaroo mother care room among others,” a statement from the county government read.

Among the services to be offered at the facility include antenatal wards, ultramodern new born unit, post-surgical wards, labour ward and neonatal ward.
