The ODM party in the recent times has had more trouble. Not financial problems to leadership wrangles. It has all turned out to be a house of war.

The direction of the party right now is even hard to tell.  The handshake has destabilized the whole party. Its existence is on the verge of collapsing. Each and every member of the party is right now busy chasing other pleasures than keeping by the party policies.

Suba North MP Millie Odhiambo has hit out at ODM’s disciplinary committee saying it ‘has outlived its usefulness.’

The lawmaker said the committee’s recommendation for expulsion of MPs Suleiman Dori and Aisha Jumwa as well as six Homa Bay MCAs is misplaced.

The committee chaired by Fred Athuok asked the party to delist the eight leaders on grounds of gross misconduct.

“The committee has outlived its usefulness to the party. The situation has just moved from bad to worse,” Millie said.

Jumwa and Dori are in the party’s bad books following their dalliance with DP William Ruto.

Others are Homa Bay MCAs Dan Were, Evance Marieba, Julius Gaya, Geoffrey Juma, Paul Wamunga, Joshua Nyabola, and Joice Adhiambo.

The six are accused of violence, unruly behaviour, and disobeying party decisions.

But Millie says the committee has failed to live by the rule of law which dictates that the leaders be given a fair hearing.

On Tuesday, the committee tabled its report on the findings of indiscipline by the two MPs, and several MCAs from Homa Bay, Nakuru, Busia, and Nyamira.

Even though the party has given them ultimatum to pledge their allegiance or be suspended from the party, Raila relationship with Jubilee government through the handshake gives them a ground of justification.

Do you think ODM will remain solid or some members will quit?
