Although the Nairobi CBD ban has been criticized by many as it marks day one. It has quite a number of supporters and maybe it might take time before people actually embrace it and understand that it could be a bed of roses.
The streets are now clear and look beautiful. Free from the noise and rogue matatu drivers but even so it has actually given that part of the city a new look.
But clearly most of us are used to complaining over issues by only looking at one side of the story and in most cases, it is the negative. Change is inevitable and some of these things could be for the good but we fail to notice for simply not understanding that all good things come at a price.
Maybe that walk for a couple kilometers is not that bad. One Kenyan thinks that gyms will now have less customers; this walk could actually be enough exercise for the day.
Is exercise not good for our bodies? Well far from sinking in my personal opinion, this system seems to have worked in some of the countries. A good example is in Dar-Es-Salaam Tanzania, they have a commuter rail system that has been an effective means of transport. With a better plan by the county government this could work too.
The Central Business District of Nairobi is now free from the chaos and disruptions caused by the Matatus.
It is unpredictable whether this will last having that the Nairobi Governor was today forced to apologize to commuters for the pain that they had to go through.
The supporters of the ban have insisted that there was a gazette notice since last year and therefore people should move on and accept the fact that this system is for the best.
@SakajaJohnson kindly lets not take sides with matatu fellows remember we paid for the matatu terminus and they were build for them to be used . Let us deconjest Nairobi these time we are supposed to move forward . There was a Gazette notice Sir. Our streets today waaahu.

The ban on Matatu’s entering Nairobi CBD should be sustained.
Kenyans have a habit of complaining about congestion and noise withing the CBD but are unwilling to accept changes to that effect.
Please get this FACT in your mind:
