Always setting records… Ronaldo sets a new record

Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo became the first player to achieve 100 Champions League wins in Tuesday’s 1-0 win over Spanish side Valencia.

The win saw Juventus advance into the knock out stages topping Group H with 12 points, two behind second-placed Manchester United, who also qualified following their 1-0 over Young Boys.

Juve boss Massimiliano Allegri hailed the former Real Madrid man for the impact he brought at the club as he contributed to Mario Mandzukic’s only goal of the night.

“Ronaldo gives us a sense of security and confidence. The team is essentially the same as last season. We’ve grown, become faster in playing the ball, but then, of course, there is Cristiano Ronaldo,” said Allegri.

“This team is constantly improving – they’re passing and putting the play together more quickly,” he added.

Ronaldo — who joined Juventus last summer from Real Madrid — is targeting a sixth Champions League title to add to his four with the Spanish team and one with Manchester United.

Is he the best ever the World has ever had?
