The nation needs prayers and Francis Atwoli was kind enough to be the man behind the pulpit. A very sane and powerful prayer that made Kenyans burst out in laughter and for a minute forgot about their frustrations.
From the tough economy to corrupt system and irresponsible leadership that is giving Kenyans sleepless nights. Francis Atwoli vented out to make a fervent prayer.
Might come off as lamentation from the tough man Francis Atwoli but clearly he was speaking as the voice of Kenyans; something we can all relate to.
In his prayer, Atwoli addressed the issue of corruption in government offices. The loss of money that cannot be accounted for, and the plans by some officials in the institution to continue extorting the tax payers money.
“God why are you punishing us by giving us leaders who steal for us.. We have no strength, we have no ability everything that is happening to all the people who offer maize and those who are unemployment are waiting to get maize.
“God do not leave us… stand with us.. Ingia kwa roho ya mtoto wa Kenyatta…God save us so that this country can change. If there are thieves in our midst may you pull the out”
The Cotu boss was in Eldoret for the 7th graduation ceremony at Nehema Institute, which is run by the Baptist Church.
His prayer comes at a time of the heated maize scandal and the frustrating state of the country.
